Chara’ft plans to open sales for two daruma designs featuring Osamu Tezuka’s Hyoutantsugi and Unico. These items are handcrafted and made to order, so customers will have only a few weeks at the end of July to purchase them. They’re called “chadaruma” because the two words “character” and “daruma” have been combined. (You can pronounce it kya-da-roo-ma in Japanese or ka-da-roo-ma in English.)
Chara’ft have previously released Black Jack versions of these daruma, so it’s great to see Hyoutantsugi and Unico making their first appearance. They’re palm sized and great to take on the go!
What’s a daruma?
Daruma are traditional handmade dolls used as a good luck charm or wishing doll. They’re usually made of paper mache and almost entirely red except for the face. To learn more about their history and how to use daruma, please check out this website:

We will make a new post when the items are on sale.
